- Move the modem to COM2 and use IRQ3. Use the MSD.exe program to evaluate
- your IRQ, DMA, and total hardware setup.

- You didn't mention checking or confirming the SHUTDOWN process of your
- WINFAX operation during other comm attempts. Until you get stable comm
- sessions going DO NOT attempt faxing operations. Be sure your fax printer is
- not active. Why? Once a fax program attaches itself to a port, it will hold
- that line, even if it does permit some form of shared service. Then, once you
- have stable comm sessions, use fax carefully. To use general comm, open
- the print manager, select the fax printer, pause it, then minimize the print mgr.,
- do not close it.
